The article entitled “Improved resistance of alumina to mild wear by aluminium titanate additions” by our colleague Carmen Baudín with A. Tricoteaux y H. Joire from the University of Valenciennes (France), has been highlighted as into the 20 most downloaded articles of the J. Eur. Ceram. Soc. in the last 90 days.
The J. Eur. Ceram. Soc. has the highest impact factor among those in the Ceramic section of the ISI catalog and is a worldwide reference for researchers on ceramic materials.
The article presents the studies on the wear behaviour of alumina compacts reinforced with aluminium titanate, which present much higher wear resistance than those of single phase alumina with similar grain size.
