These international conference communicate research from the frontiers of colloid and materials science. The speakers all are world-leading scientists, covering what is new in colloids, interfaces and functional materials.
The 1st International Symposium on Colloids and Materials is organized by Elsevier, publishers of the Journal of Colloid and Interface Science (JCSI).
This journal published a special issue devoted to the publication of more relevant research works presented at the congress (J. Coll. Sci. Interf., Volume 373, Issue 1 – selected pp. 1-128 (1 May 2012) The 1st International Symposium on Colloids and Materials: New Scientific Horizons). That meeting in Amsterdam-Europe in 2011 inaugurated a new international annual conference series organized by Elsevier that in 2013 met in the Asia-Pacific Rim region (Xiamen, China) scientists, covering topics in colloids and materials for sustainable energy generation, distribution, storage and systems. The number of attendees in the past editions was around 350 from 40-50 countries, which present their research work in 200-300 posters.
